Electronic Numbering (ENUM) is a protocol developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to allow the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and the Internet to interoperate.
Electronic Numbering (ENUM) is relatively a simple protocol involving two core concepts:
1. The process of creating a domain name from a TN and resolving it to an Internet address (a uniform resource identifier, or URI) using DNS technology.
2. The hosting of ENUM domain names in the e164.arpa domain.
Please contact DataCom if you or your organizaton have devices that require seamless connectivity from the Internet to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), or vice-versa.
